**DAY OF GRADUATION**
Graduation will be held at UIC Dorin Forum, 725 W Roosevelt Rd, Chicago, IL 60608
● Ticketed guests will be allowed to enter the Forum AT 6:30 P.M. No guests will be
allowed in the main hallway before or immediately after the ceremony.
● Guests will enter through the main entrance on Roosevelt Road just east of Halsted.
● We ask all guests to please be respectful of the Forum and the Ceremony. The following
items will NOT be allowed within the UIC Forum: Bottles, cans, poster board signs,
containers, coolers, outside food or beverages, aerosol cans, and BALLOONS.
● UIC Forum does not allow strollers
● Please note: graduates will need to meet with their advisor at the conclusion of the
ceremony in order to receive their diploma.
Parking: Parking will be available in UIC Forum Lot #5 on Morgan (north of
Roosevelt) or in Lot #6 on Halsted (north of Roosevelt) for $10.
Please arrive early if you want to guarantee yourself a spot. Otherwise, you can
use the Pay to Park boxes on the street but street parking is VERY limited.
REMINDERS:
We ask that you respect the significance of this event and help us to ensure that the dignity of the ceremony is respected. Please adhere to all guidelines and rules set forth by UIC:
Be Punctual.
Flowers may be given to graduates AFTER graduation.
Parents, relatives, and friends are expected to remain in their seats throughout the duration of the ceremony. No one will be permitted to leave their seats to take pictures or video during the processional or during the awarding of diplomas.
A professional photographer will take pictures of each graduate as they receive their
diplomas. The proofs of these pictures will be mailed directly to each student and there
will be a number of different options from which to choose. The completed orders will
be mailed to the graduate in several weeks.
● Photos may be taken outside after the graduation ceremony.
- Students may decorate their caps if they wish. Please note that any inappropriate words/images/references may result in students not being able to participate in the ceremony.
