About me

Welcome!

My name is Maria Elena Balanzategui-Aguilar.  I have taught all grade levels over the course of my teaching career. Currently, I teach ELL Reading in the Language Arts and ELL English IV. I earned a B.A in Broadcast Journalism and an M.A in Urban Teaching from Columbia College, Chicago, IL. 

I am the sponsor for the Public Speaking Club.

I feel very fortunate to be able to help ELL students in their academic and professional lives.  I am thrilled to be a Ranger!
