Meet Ms. Hanks!

I am a working artist-teacher with over 20 years' experience.  My background includes a B.F.A in visual art, an M.F.A in art and a M. Ed in education, teaching experience ranging from pre-K through college level, as well as gallery representation and the wholesale market. In 2023 I was awarded a Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms and was able to travel to Uruguay to promote global education and collaboration.

I am currently the AP Art, Studio Painting and Drawing, Sculpture and Art I teacher, as well as the Art Club sponsor. In my classroom, relationships are key.  Each interaction with students is an important opportunity to reinforce confidence in the process and spirit of education. I am always learning from students and hopefully am able to draw the very best from them.
