Performing and Visual Arts Program
Welcome to the Mather High School Performing and Visual Arts Page.
At Mather, we have a full arts program with many offerings.
If you are interested in music, while studying at Mather you can be in a beginning or advanced orchestra, band, choir or guitar class. If you like music technology you can take a computer music class which uses a newly equipped Mac Lab. We also offer Dual Credit music! When you are a senior, you can take a music appreciation class at Mather and earn a college credit from Truman College.
If your interests lie in the visual arts, we have art classes including visual art, photo, yearbook, studio art and AP art.
We have a full dance program, which includes 4 levels of dance. In addition to dance class, there are many clubs which prepare dances for ethnic fest.
If you are an aspiring thespian, you can take multiple years of drama. If you like to work behind the scenes, how about considering stage crew.
We have a annual musical and student talent show which are super fun.
Of course we have many after school clubs including orchestra, rock band and art club.
